Join Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic & Chris Ransick, Denver’s Poet Laureate, for RFB&D’s Colorado Authors Day

Colorado Authors are invited to join the 5th Annual Colorado Authors Day at Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic (RFB&D).
This message was sent to authors from the organization.

On Wednesday, October 28th authors are invited to lend their voice to record portions of books by Colorado authors at our Denver recording studio at 1355 S. Colorado Blvd. Suite C-406.

Can you imagine a world without books?
Can you imagine trying to get through school without being able to read your books? That is the challenge for tens of thousands of students in Colorado with print disabilities. Some students are blind or visually impaired and some have learning disabilities such as dyslexia. Whatever the reason for their challenge, the question remains the same; “how can I read my books and how can I get the information I need to gain my education?” The answer is Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic.

At Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic (RFB&D) we are proud to be able to empower students with print disabilities to achieve their educational dreams. For over 60 years RFB&D has been providing blind, visually, physically and learning disabled students with the tools to gain an education.

Will you consider joining us to read a portion of a book by a Colorado author? It will take about an hour of your time. Please contact Marie Lilliard via email at marierfbd@qwestoffice.net or at
303-757-0787. Our goal is to have 50 Colorado Authors reading on that day. Your participation would help us increase awareness of our organization and its important services. Thank you for your consideration!
