Colorado Authors’ League Writing Craft Fair


Award-winning novelist BK Loren and former Rocky Mountain News "Talk of the Town" columnist Norm Clarke will head a stage of six speakers in a day-long Writing Craft Fair presented by the Colorado Authors’ League on Sat., Feb. 14.

The Craft Fair, in partnership with Arapahoe Community College’s Writers Studio, will offer writers of all styles, genres and experience levels a chance to learn and expand their skills in six different areas in breakout sessions led by experts in their fields.

Loren will focus on Fine Tuning Your Writing. Clarke’s specialty is Productive Interviewing. Longtime editor Diane Hartman will cover Elements of Good Editing. The Basics of Screenwriting will be the focus of award-winning screenwriter Bruce Leaf. Terry Frei, Denver Post sports columnist and author of eight books of fiction and non-fiction, will develop Improved Story Organization and Structure. And, Successful Research will be led by Pamela Halleran, Arapahoe Library District research librarian.

The day, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., will be organized so that participants will be able to choose up to three disciplines to take part in. Complete details are available at dennydressman or chris or 303-882-4910.
