DWPC presents Screenwriting Style June 7

The Denver Woman’s Press Club invites you to attend “Screenwriting Style,” a seminar for all dramatic writers on Saturday, June 7 from 1:30 pm – 5:00 pm at the DWPC clubhouse, 1325 Logan St., Denver, CO.

Screenwriters are always looking for more white space on the page; but rarely talk about making those few words shine. Learn to tell your story with style and catch the eye of those Hollywood gatekeepers and independent producers. Open to all levels of dramatic writers.

Alexandre O. Philippe
Creative Director of Denver-based Cinema Vertige, Alexandre Philippe is an award-winning film director and screenwriter known for The People vs. George Lucas (2010) and The Life and Times of Paul the Psychic Octopus (2012). His latest film, Doc of the Dead, the definitive zombie culture documentary, recently premiered at the prestigious South by Southwest Film Festival. Philippe teaches screenwriting at Lighthouse Writers Workshop and received their Beacon Award for Teaching Excellence.

Nick Arvin
Nick Arvin is the author of three books: In the Electric Eden, Articles of War, and The Reconstructionist. His work has appeared in the New Yorker, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Rocky Mountain News. He has been honored with numerous awards including the Colorado Book Award and the Rosenthal Foundation Award and fellowships from the Michener-Copernicus Society and the National Endowment for the Arts. Arvin is on the faculty of Lighthouse Writers Workshop.
