Time: 7:00 p.m. dinner; 8:00 p.m. program
Cost: $20, includes colleagues, dinner and program (Cash and check only please)

Menu: Mediterranean Chicken – Tender grilled chicken breasts with mushrooms, artichokes and capers, on a bed of sauteed spinach with mediterranean rice pilaf; Caprese Salad, mixed greens, tomatoes, mozzarella cheese and fresh basil with balsamic vinaigrette; baked rolls; assorted desserts; iced tea and coffee
Adult beverages are available at the cash bar downstairs

Program: Ever wonder what’s happening on the retail end of the publishing business? Want to know what authors can better do to promote themselves? Speakers Ron and Nina Else of the Broadway Book Mall, Neil Strandberg of the Tattered Cover and Chris Tucker from Barnes & Noble will be on hand to give you their perspective and to answer any and all questions!

Ron and Nina Else are familiar names to Denver readers and writers. They have been independent booksellers in Denver for the past 15 years and currently own the Broadway Book Mall at 200 S. Broadway. They are well known for their support of local authors and often have book signings at their store.

Neil Strandberg’s started his Tattered Cover career in 1989 and served in numerous positions about the store. Local to Denver, he has also served as the first president of the Mile High Business Alliance; and, regionally, he served as vice-president of the Mountains and Plains Independent Booksellers Association. More broadly, he is a member of the American Booksellers Association Bookseller Advisory Council, part of the ABA Digital Task Force and recently finished a stint on the advisory council to BookExpo America.
