CIPA’s February Meeting: The Changing Face of Publishing

(NOTE: This month only at the Double Tree Hotel, 3203 Quebec just a few blocks south from our usual location, the Red Lion Inn)

Don Schmidt of ABC-CLIO will present The Changing Face of Publishing: Careers, Workflow and Products.

Don has been in the publishing industry for 26 years. He’s currently the production manager for ABC-CLIO, one of the largest book publishers in Colorado, producing hundreds of books every year. Before that, Don spent 20 years knocking around the publishing scene in New York (Random House, Macmillan, McGraw-Hill, and Springer-Veriag).

Don also owns and operates Skootersdad Publishing Services, a publishing consulting firm. Because of his extensive industry contracts, he can often guide publishers toward getting the best prices on their printing needs.

You won’t find a more knowledgeable publishing guru anywhere else for just $15.00 (members) or $30.00 (nonmembers).
