Rocky Mountain Mystery Writers of America Invites John Zeck, HarperCollins Rep and Sandra Bond, Literary Agent to Dinner

Cost: $20 for meal, dessert, taxes, gratuities AND program!

Time: 7:00 p.m. Mixed Greens with Roasted Corn, Queso Fresco, and Cilantro-Lime Vinaigrette; Achiote Marinated and Grilled Pork Tenderloin with Veracruz Sauce; Yucatan Style Black Bean Stew; Roasted Squash and Tricolor Peppers; Warm Tortillas; Cinnamon Dusted Tortilla Chips and beverages. Cash bar available.

PROGRAM: Meet the Speakers: John Zeck has been with Harper Selling since 1978. Before that he taught eigth grade English in Yonkers, NY; before that he sold beer for a Distributorship, and before that he went to college. He graduated from SUNY in Albany with degree in English Education. He is a former Mountain & Plains Independent Book Association (MPIBA) Board Member; winner of Volunteer of the Year at MPIBA, in 1990; MPIBA Rep of the Year in 2003; and winner of the Turner Award at HarperCollins in 2008 as the Sales Rep of the Year in the US.

Sandra Bond heads her own agency in Denver, which she started in late 1998. After working as an assistant to prominent agent Jody Rein, she started her agency in order to concentrate on adult and young adult fiction. She has been working to attract and develop a small but select list of clients, and her list now includes writers of various genres of fiction and nonfiction. Sandra is also the program administrator at the University of Denver?s Publishing Institute, a 4-week, intensive, graduate-level certificate program in publishing. Before deciding to pursue a career in publishing, she was a film and television script analyst in Los Angeles, and the editor and production manager for a socioeconomic research foundation in Boulder. Sandra has a BA in Microbiology from the University of Colorado.
