RMFW Contest Workshop March 21


Good news: There’s a ticket out there waiting for you to get your writing in the hands of an acquiring agent or editor.

Better news: Your chances of owning this ticket is right around the corner.

Even better news: Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers (RMFW) is hosting a workshop that will dramatically improve your chances for of being one of the last writers standing a finalist in RMFW’s Colorado Gold Writing Contest.

Join Terry Wright and Paula Kinnes on Saturday, March 21 for a two-hour workshop that is guaranteed to will give you the inside track on what the judges are looking for (and what they require) for you to succeed in the Colorado Gold Writing Contest. This just might turn out to be the big break you’ve been working for. Publication.However, if your verbs are passive, your scenes are vague, or your characters are flat, and/or your synopsis is more plot than character, you might miss the final round.

So take the time to benefit from Terry and Paula’s years of experience as a contest judges. (Now wait just a minute…this workshop might help you immensely whether you are contemplating a contest entry or not! Who wants flat characters, vague scenes or passive verbs anyway? Just come out and join the fun.)

Location: Lakewood Public Library, 10200 W. 20th Ave., a few blocks west of Kipling.

The contest opens April, 1 2009. The deadline is June 1, 2009. Your goal is to make the finals and get your work in front of an acquiring agent or editor. This workshop will help you reach that goal. See you there!
